How to Forgive Yourself and Others

How to Forgive Yourself and OthersWhen we hear the word forgiveness, most of us immediately think of someone or something that has been done wrong to us. Forgiveness is not something we do for another person. Forgiveness is a gift that we give ourselves so that we can move forward powerfully. When we refuse to forgive, we hold onto the past; and it becomes impossible to move forward and be present in the now moment.

Forgiveness allows us to live in the present moment. By forgiving yourself first, you open up a doorway for allowing forgiveness of others into your heart. Be willing to forgive and God will give you the strength to follow through. The past is gone, you are a new being. Choose to live free from the pain of the past. We forgive because we have been forgiven.

Affirmations are a quick tool that we can use regularly to help us heal our pain. Repeat this simple affirmation to yourself constantly throughout the day “I forgive myself and forgive everyone in my past for all perceived wrongs. I release them in love.” This simple treatment if done regularly will set you free and allow you to heal your past pain and hurt.

Life is meant to be lived joyfully. Past hurt and pain can keep us stuck in the drama and cycle of negativity. Release, forgive and start living the life you deserve NOW!

Love now and always
